In addition to my deep passion for design, I find inspiration and balance in various pursuits during my free time. Whether utilizing a charcoal stick for artistic expression, coaching lacrosse on the field, or exploring new corners of the world, each endeavor contributes to my creative practice. This curated collection reflects the interplay of art, movement, and an explorer’s mindset, offering a glimpse into what shapes both my design philosophy and personal identity.

art

Throughout the years, my creative journey has led me to explore a variety of mediums for physical and visual expression, ranging from wheel throwing and yarn to graphic design and video production. While I enjoy experimenting with various materials, my focus has gravitated towards pencil and charcoal sketching, as well as the precision and meticulous measurement involved in constructing with cardboard and metals. Engaging in hands-on creation not only brings deep satisfaction but also contributes to the cross-training of my creative muscles.

lacrosse

Team sport has always been a part of my life, with lacrosse emerging as a late but defining addition during my freshman year in high school. Over the years, my connection to lacrosse has evolved, leading me to play at Pomona College and eventually coach a high school team in Seattle with a previous teammate. This journey through lacrosse has not only offered athletic growth but has also fostered deep friendships and a strong sense of community, providing continuous opportunities for personal development.

travel

I’ve been fortunate to grow up in a family that cherishes adventure. Chasing opportunities has led us to call every region of the United States home and embark on numerous international journeys. Studying abroad in Copenhagen during undergrad offered a transformative experience, exposing me to diverse cultures and landscapes in a condensed timeframe. Post-graduation, my commitment to exploration continues, whether embarking on solo adventures or sharing the joy of discovery with friends and family. For me, the magic of a new environment is unparalleled—a source of inspiration that rejuvenates the creative mind. It’s also a great opportunity to practice visual framing: all photos below were shot by me.
